A report from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and American Express reveals that an estimated 88 million consumers shopped at small businesses on Small Business Saturday in 2014, spending a reported $14.3 billion, up 2.1 percent from 2013.

Participating businesses can access the following marketing materials for Small Business Saturday from American Express:

  • “Shop Small” logos
  • “Shop Small” merchandise
  • event guides

Merchants accepting American Express credit cards also can receive free online ads throughout the year and appearance on the “Shop Small” map.
