For the 2016 Tournament of Roses Parade, 44 floats that were bedecked in flowers and other natural materials paid amazing salutes to the parade’s “Find Your Adventure” theme.
Four floats received “California Grown Certification,” indicating that 85 percent of the botanical materials used were grown in California. Here are photos from the certification ceremonies, courtesy of the California Cut Flower Commission (CCFC).
FTD Inc., the Official Floral Partner of the Tournament of Roses, received the certification for its use of California-grown flowers to decorate the four official parade vehicles that carry VIP dignitaries. J. Keith White, AIFD, FTD’s chief Rose Parade designer, created the designs for the antique vehicles. Click here to see photos of the cars and the certification ceremony.
