design SILK AND DRIED
lasting keepsake
Featuring preserved, dried and permanent botanicals, this colorful
pomander makes a vibrant matrimonial memento.
Incorporating some of the season’s hottest hues, this lovely pomander
features fresh-looking preserved roses in two captivating bicolor
varieties. Permanent Bupleurum adds touches of lime-green, which
continues to be a hot color for all seasons. The pomander is affordably
created using a lightweight base of gathered tulle, making it
comfortable for a flower girl to carry although it is equally suitable
as a stylish alternative to a bridesmaid’s bouquet. A sheer ribbon,
chosen for its stripes that coordinate with the two shades of orange
tulle, makes a delightful handle. Flower gems and gold leaves contribute
sparkle to the keepsake design.
MATERIALS:
bicolor preserved roses from Mirsky; permanent Bupleurum from Sullivans;
dried yarrow and tulle from favorite suppliers; ribbon from Lion Ribbon
Co.; Lomey™ Gems Flowers and Oasis® Hot-Melt Glue from Oasis® Floral
Products; Laser Leaves from Milton Adler Company.
