harvest blooms
Add "shock" value to an
arrangement of autumnal flowers with a sheaf of barley or other
cereal grasses.
A sheaf of grains is an icon of the autumn harvest season, and selections such as wheat, rye, barley and the like have a long history of being combined with flowers to create decorative home accents. This arrangement, which has the look of a hand-tied bouquet, features a natural-looking treatment of barley stems around a cylinder vase holding premium cut flowers.
Picking up the warm hues of the miniature callas and
Gerberas, a length of plaid ribbon conceals the binding point. It is important to note that you need not create a bow in order to have a captivating ribbon accent. Here, a simple knot and chevron tails do the trick.
