A collar of fresh wheat adds fall flair to a rose bouquet.

With trend-forward decorative wire bands encircling its stems, this bouquet has the look of a sophisticated hand-tied composition. A bouquet holder concealed within the bundle of fresh wheat, however, ensures that the roses will stay hydrated throughout the wedding and into the night. The hearty grains that support the vibrant orange roses give the bouquet a robust autumn feel while the wheat’s delicate, wispy beards offer a soft, almost airbrushed allure.

MATERIALS: ‘Miracle’ roses and fresh wheat from favorite suppliers; Wedding Belle® Medium Straight Handle Bouquet Holder, Oasis™ Aluminum Wire and Oasis® Waterproof Tape from Oasis® Floral Products; Regal Vase from Syndicate Sales.

HOW TO 1:
Gather stems of wheat into a bundle, arranging the heads of the wheat evenly with one another. Trim the bottoms of the stems evenly. HOW TO 2:
Bind the stems with waterproof tape below the heads of the wheat as well as near the bottom of the stems. Wrap aluminum wire in both spots to conceal the tape. HOW TO 3:
Insert a bouquet holder into the center of the wheat bundle.
