exotic head gear
Captivating fall florals are tucked into a botanical base of baby’s
breath for bridesmaids and flower girls.
Head pieces
are fashionable fare for flower girls, but this autumnal selection, with
its collection of premium orchids and other exotics, offers style
befitting bridesmaids as well. The materials are glued into a garland
fashioned from baby’s breath, so it’s comfortable to wear down the aisle
and throughout the nuptial celebration.
MATERIALS:
‘orchids
and Hypericum from Transflora; pineapple buttons from Schusters of
Texas; baby’s breath (Gypsophila), yarrow, globe amaranths (Gomphrena)
and wooden beads from favorite suppliers; ribbon from Berwick Offray;
Oasis™ Metallic Wire, Oasis™ Bind Wire and Oasis® Floral Adhesive from
Oasis® Floral Products.

HOW TO
1:
Gather several stems of
baby’s breath into a small bunch, and bind the stems with wire.
Gather additional baby’s breath into another bunch, and lay it atop
the wired stems. Bind this bunch of baby’s breath to the first
bunch, and continue this procedure until a garland is formed. |
|
HOW TO
2:
Glue orchids, globe
amaranths and other materials into the baby’s breath garland with
liquid floral adhesive. Clip Hypericum branchlets into small
clusters, and glue each group into the garland. |
|
HOW TO
3:
Clip bits of paper-covered
wire, and thread wooden beads onto the wires. Twist the
paper-covered wires to secure. Glue the beads’ wire “stems” into the
wreath. |
