lasting harvest
This floral and fruit presentation is perfect for the autumn season.
Design by Tina Stoecker, AIFD, PFCI
Apples of all varieties are abundant during the autumn season, and this arrangement, featuring a texture-rich assortment of flowers in autumnal hues, incorporates permanent versions of this popular fruit as a distinctive decorative element. The fruitful collar is created by securing the apples, with wood picks, into floral foam that extends just above the rim of the sleek orange vase. The permanent fruits’ light weight and small size allow them to be used to create a collar beneath the flowers whereas their fresh counterparts would be too heavy. Long stems of
Leucadendrons make the proportion of the fresh botanicals about twice the height of the vase rather than the standard 1.5-time scale, but the apples provide visual weight to balance the extended height.
All materials in this arrangement are long-lasting—a point that is well-suited for enticing marketing copy!
