wedding bouquet
willow wrap
Curly
willow lends a woodsy effect to an all-rose arrangement.
This beautiful composition of ‘Akito’ hybrid tea roses and ‘Cream Gracia’
spray roses, ranging from buds to blooms to petal-dropped calyxes, is
enhanced with a vining collar of curly willow, which adds movement and
dimension, not to mention a woodsy effect, to the monochromatic
creation.
The curly willow, which is adorned with a twining of pearled cording, is
secured to the bouquet holder with pins made from heavy-gauge wire.
Although the pearled cording softens the rough-hewn collar, the bouquet
has an outdoorsy feel and would be perfect for alfresco springtime
events.
MATERIALS: ‘Akito’ roses and ‘Cream Gracia’ spray roses
from California cut flower growers; large straight-handle Wedding Belle
Bouquet Holder from Smithers-Oasis; curly willow, pearled cording and
heavy-gauge wire from favorite suppliers.
