garden to go

Fresh flowers “planted” into a pot embellished by permanents depict the botanical beauty of a growing garden in miniature form.

Design by Walter Fedyshyn, AIFD, PFCI

A casual gathering of perky Persian buttercups (Ranunculi) and overgrown grasses appears to have been planted into
a newly sprouting bed of wispy blooms.
The do-ahead pot treatment—featuring permanent materials, including a
handcrafted “nest” made by swirling
lengths of raffia into a whirlpool-like formation—contribute to the composition’s natural beauty.
Because the pot embellishments can be applied in advance and the fresh flowers added just prior to delivery, this gardeny grouping is a wonderful shop special that
can be assembled in multiple quantities
for maximum efficiency.
