ravishing reds

A monochromatic collection of flowers, punctuated with a complementary green, makes a versatile bouquet for holiday nuptials.

A sassy mix of carnations, Ranunculi and miniature callas, collared by a ribbon-shrouded disk, encompasses a range of daring hues for fall and winter weddings; however, hints of green, in the centers of the Ranunculi and in the trio of visible stems, remind of the holiday season. The stylized bouquet’s palette is ideal when the bridal party’s colors are bold but hard to perfectly match, so a range of similar hues coordinates beautifully.

MATERIALS: Carnations, Ranunculi and miniature callas from favorite suppliers; Oasis® Hot-Melt Glue and Oasis® Wedding Belle® Straight Handle Bouquet Holder from Oasis® Floral Products; ribbon from Berwick Offray.

HOW TO 1:
Select a cardboard disk (or ribbon flange) sized to the scale of the bouquet. Wrap satin ribbon around the disk, covering it completely.

  HOW TO 2:
Secure the end of the ribbon to the disk with a corsage pin.
  HOW TO 3:
Apply hot-melt glue around the center of the ribbon-covered disk, and insert a foam-filled bouquet holder.
