Blending floral and nonfloral components, this captivating
centerpiece embraces the Christmas season.
This dramatic centerpiece features simple yet visually substantial
components that are densely arranged in a picture-perfect tabletop
gathering. Fresh apples are laid into the center of the composition
along with spherical ornaments—all in the same color family—that
provide a reflective quality with their mix of shiny and matte
surfaces. A smilax wreath, laid atop the lip of the urn and secured
to the plastic foam inside the urn with Dixon pins, creates a “well”
for the apples and ornaments and provides a textural collar around
the base of the design along with the sprays of permanent petite
apples and leaves that are glued to the smilax wreath.
