A foliage heart makes a charming Valentine accent for a potted arrangement of gardeny botanicals.

A heart created from oregonia adds a sweet touch to a classic clay pot featuring a mix of peachy garden and hybrid tea roses complemented by chartreuse button spray chrysanthemums and rosy Hypericum berries. Although the flowers would be captivating on their own, their presence is enhanced with fresh green honeysuckle vine wrapped loosely around the design as well as ivy that creates a visual line diagonally opposite the foliage heart accent.
The oregonia heart, which is secured to the pot with a hairpin-shaped wire, is long lasting and can be made up to two weeks in advance to ease last-minute production for Valentine’s Day. Simply store each heart in a plastic bag in your floral cooler. And because oregonia dries nicely, the foliage embellishment can serve as a treasured keepsake after the flowers have expired. |

Wrap a heavy-gauge wire with stem wrap.
