Twists of ribbon dress
up clear glass cylinders.
Clear glass cylinder vases, filled with tulips, take on a
flirty, feminine quality with the addition of French-braid wraps,
shown created in two ways. The same wrapping technique is used for
each composition, but in the shorter design, shoestring bows are
adhered with hot glue or double-sided adhesive at the spots where
the ribbon intersects. The tall cylinder is finished with a
four-loop bow tied at the bottom. Chevron-cut tails give each ribbon
treatment additional distinction.
The tailored effect adds style to the inexpensive vases, and
they are great to promote as personalized gifts or for decorating at
parties.
MATERIALS:
‘Upstar’ tulips from The Sun Valley Group; Cylinder Vases from
Syndicate Sales; ribbon from Berwick Offray; Oasis® UGlu™ Adhesive
