Busy holidays, especially
Valentine’s Day, require that floral shop staff work smart. But working
smart doesn’t mean that your work has to be run of the mill; instead, a
few simple steps, some of which can be done in advance of the holiday,
can tailor arrangements with pizzazz.
leafy greens
This creation, composed of traditional Valentine’s Day florals arranged
in grand segments, goes from classical to contemporary with the addition
of vibrant green kale leaves, clipped from a potted plant, demonstrating
that an unexpected foliage (or filler) can dramatically alter the
overall style. Look for unexpected options—from your wholesale supplier
and in the plant area of your shop—to distinguish your designs.
MATERIALS:
‘Sumatra’ Oriental lilies from The Sun Valley Group; ‘Hearts’ and ‘Royal
Majesty’ roses from Royal Flowers; kale plant from favorite supplier;
