Bamboo makes a creative handle for this collared bouquet.

Perfect for the bride of a tropical destination wedding or for one who desires an exotic look for her summer nuptials, this bouquet assures originality and creativity. Naturally hollow bamboo makes a simple yet striking and decidedly tropical statement as a covering for the bouquet holder handle. Anthuriums, cut from a plant, also add an exotic touch as well as varietal contrast to the more conventional roses and sweetly scented Freesias in the bouquet. Leaves plucked from the Anthurium plant create a bold collar beneath the flowers.

MATERIALS:

‘Trust’ roses and ‘Ilse’ spray roses from Royal Flowers; Freesias from The Sun Valley Group; Anthurium plant and wire from favorite suppliers; Amazon Bamboo from Knud Nielsen Company; Venus Bouquet Holder from Syndicate Sales; ribbon from Berwick Offray; Oasis® Waterproof Tape from Oasis® Floral Products.

HOW TO 1:
Slide the bamboo over the handle of the bouquet holder. Hot-glue the end of the bamboo to the bottom of the bouquet holder. HOW TO 2:
Drill a hole through the bamboo and bouquet holder handle. HOW TO 3:
Insert a wire through the hole, and twist the wire around the bamboo, just beneath the bouquet holder, for additional security. Cover the mechanics with waterproof tape and ribbon.
