wedding bouquet
imperial
cluster
This monochromatic bouquet
imparts a regal feeling.
Bursting with texture, this densely arranged monochromatic bouquet
begins with a cluster of lilacs that is surrounded by a fringy collar of
blossoms in all values of purple. Its fragrance story, from sweet lilacs
to spicy Freesias, will perk up the senses of any bride or bridesmaid.
The placement of the Freesias is such that the tips of the buds are
close to the central flowers, allowing the Veronicas to contribute the
horizontal collar. Waterproof tape binds the stems, and dual-toned
ribbon, which perfectly coordinates with the florals, conceals the tape.
An eight-loop “ribbon candy” bow provides a sophisticated treatment,
secured with a cluster of purple pearl-headed corsage pins in the
center. The pins are cut short and glued into the ribbon and stems.
The bare stems make this bouquet ideal for keeping in water until the
bride walks down the aisle. It also can transition easily to a
centerpiece for the head table at the reception.
MATERIALS: lilacs, heather, Veronicas, Freesias and Ageratum from
California cut flower growers; Purple Lomey™ Corsage Pins from Smithers-Oasis;
ribbon from Morex Corp.
