NRF launches “This is retail” video contest The National Retail Federation (NRF) has launched a nationwide video contest to find the best retail stories in America. Titled “This Is Retail,” the contest is part of the NRF’s multifaceted “Retail Means Jobs” campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the retail industry’s significant economic impact. It is open to retail employees and business owners of any type and size of retail establishment. Each entrant must submit a two-minute video highlighting how his or her company positively impacts shoppers or the community, the company’s role in the creation of an innovative new product or technology, or how a company initiative will generate new jobs to boost the economy. The NRF will accept submissions from March 5 through March 16. After a panel of retail executives narrows the submissions to 20, finalists will be featured on RetailMeansJobs.com, and winners will be chosen based on votes from the public. The top three finalists will be flown to Washington, D.C., in May, where the winners will be announced during the NRF’s Washington Leadership Conference. The first-place winner will receive $25,000; second-place, $15,000; and third-place, $10,000. For more information, click here. Source: National Retail Federation (NRF) |
