The annual Macy’s Flower Show, in bloom now through April 3, is themed “America the Beautiful” and gives visitors a breathtaking floral tour of the entire country. The show features thousands of flowers that celebrate the nation’s vast and varied landscapes.
The stunning show is wowing visitors in Macy’s stores in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Minneapolis and San Francisco. Each store showcases several themed gardens that reflect different regions of the country, from the “Shining Northeast Shores” to the “Pacific Northwest Wonderland.”
Mike Gansmoe, the show’s executive producer, told the New York Daily News that the show takes a year to design, with nearly 100 people working on it. This year’s event includes nearly 30,000 individual plants.
