bulbs in bloom
Creative inspiration for designing with the blooming beauties that are soon to arrive at your shop.

Designs by Talmage McLaurin, AIFD

Free-spirited Ranunculi, popping up across this composite creation but especially at the ends, frame the hedgelike display with vivacious charm. Equisetum, cut to lengths just shorter than the vase, support the flower stems in their intentionally haphazard placements.

MATERIALS: hybrid lilies, tulips and Persian buttercups (Ranunculus) courtesy of the Netherlands Flower Bulb Information Center; horsetail (Equisetum) from Baisch & Skinner; Scalloped Square Vases from Syndicate Sales.

“Planted” into a foam base covered with moss, bits of fern and a few succulents, this fragrant array of hyacinths resembles a small-scale landscape. Suggest it for a springtime garden party or other girly get-together. ■

MATERIALS: hyacinths courtesy of the Netherlands Flower Bulb Information Center; moss, fern plants, succulents and Terra-Cotta Bowl from Baisch & Skinner; Oasis® Floral Foam Maxlife from Oasis® Floral Products.
