Stephens Convention Center of Rosemont near Chicago, Illinois. This is the second time the show was held in Chicago. The flower displays designed by growers from California, Colombia, Ecuador, and Kenya created a very diverse and attractive exhibition for all those who attended to source flowers. The turnout was excellent, especially during the first two days when several flower importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers from Illinois attended the show. The Royal Flowers Group was one of many national and international flower growers that displayed their latest varieties, which are available for the US market. Flower buyers also flew in from New York, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kansas, Arkansas, Delaware, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Virginia, Washington, Tennessee, and other US states. There were about 30 states in total that attended the event this year. Royal Flowers was among a group of strong Ecuadorian flower growers that export high quality roses to the US market. There is an increased possibility for African flowers to break through the US market, so Kenya was present with a large number of Kenyan flower growers this year as well. The show organizer stated, “Four years ago, when World Floral Expo was held for the first time in Chicago, the show was very well attended also. It is the reason to return this year for another edition and it is great to conclude that it was indeed a good move to come back.” Read more
