AIFD “INSPIRATION” IN ORANGE COUNTY THIS SUMMER
Floral designers from across the world will find “Inspiration” at the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) National Symposium, taking place in Anaheim, Calif., July 3-7, 2016.
“Inspiration” is a five-day event that will feature stage presentations from never-before-seen international talent and emerging designers from the USA. The AIFD National Symposium also includes a welcome reception, two celebratory dinners, a student competition and a half-day expo of floral industry suppliers. All activities will take place in the exciting and newly renovated Anaheim Marriott Hotel.
One of the newer features at this year’s Symposium are the hands-on classes, taught by Carol Cagglano, AIFD, PFCI; Beth O’Reilly, AIFD; Deb Schwarze, AIFD; and Frank Feysa, AIFD, PFCI. These classes are made possible by support from CalFlowers (California Association of Flower Growers & Shippers) and Smithers-Oasis Company.
Also at the AIFD National Symposium, designers endeavoring to achieve AIFD’s Certified Floral Designer (CFD) designation and ultimately an invitation to become an accredited member of AIFD can participate in the AIFD Professional Floral Design Evaluation (PFDE), which will take place on July 1.
